Stanton Bonna are a leading UK manufacturer and supplier of precast concrete pipes and manholes to the construction industry.
I was initially approached by their Marketing Manager to advise on the feasibility of designing and building a stand-alone “Quote Generator” Website/system, for their own clients to use.
The original brief and specifications were unavoidably complex – along with a fixed budget allocated for the development of the entire project.
After an initial research exercise, I managed to compile and present a proposal which met the client’s requirements – and budget.
The Website
“PrecastQuotes.co.uk” turned out to be by far my most challenging project to date (and in many ways still is), as it involved devising and applying numerous customisations to the online shopping platform I had selected to power the quotation system.
The careful planning and early feasibility exercises turned out to be time well invested: The “Precast Quotes” system launched on time and on budget – and has since generated several enquiries and confirmed quotes from new & existing customers of Stanton Bonna.
Furthermore, by using the intuitive WordPress administration menus, the in-house marketing department have introduced new categories and extra individual product lines over time. All without the need for any further input from Mounsey Web Consultancy.
